In the fall of 2021, my youngest daughter who ran a jewelry company asked me to do a fall festival with her and offer my flower arrangements for sale in her booth.  Excited to spend 2 whole days with my teenage daughter, I agreed. To my surprise, my floral arrangements were a hit and I was asked if I would consider having a booth at the Halcyon Farmer’s Market. I agreed and Ruthie’s grew from there! 

Since 2021, we have enjoyed our community pop-ups with our remodeled vintage pop-up camper, been blessed to be part of multiple weddings, events, galas, and homecomings and proms, and look forward to continuing to be your destination for all your floral needs!

Ruth was my grandmother’s name and I adored her. She was that warm hug and safe space that any grandma should be and she loved me dearly. When I found our 1968 vintage Coleman pop-up camper and decided to remodel it to become our mobile flower shop, I named the camper after my grandma since my goal was to share happiness with others through flowers and my grandma brought me so much happiness. Plus… Ruthie’s is a super cute name!

Ruthie the camper was found on Facebook Marketplace in North Georgia. She was a bit of a deal, or so I thought, because she had been sitting under a car port for 20 years and had not been tagged or opened once 2002. Her lift system did not work, so I bought her without truly knowing the condition of the inside of the camper.

We opened her up on Easter Sunday 2022 with the entire family around. It was like opening up a time capsule. EVERYTHING inside was original to 1968 and for the most part in decent shape. Critters and insects had of course made their way into the safety of Ruthie’s interior, but she truly had no major issues other than her lift system was broken.

We started there and were blessed to find a RV dealership that agreed to work on the lift system. No easy task to work on the mechanics of something that was over 54 years old, but Camp Oaks RV in Dahlonega took her on and has been our saving grace ever since!
Awnings were added by Softek Awning in Doraville. Paint and new flooring were done and we started designing the camper to function as a “Pick your own stems” mobile flower bar.

Ruthie finally made her first appearance at Hacyon in Alpharetta, GA on March 5, 2023.

Each pop-up event means that Ruthie is stocked with a variety of beautiful blooms for you! When you visit Ruthie, you can hand select your favorite stems and build the perfect bundle for you! Our staff will then expertly arrange your stems and wrap them for you to take home and enjoy!

All of our stems are meticulously cleaned, hydrated, and cared for to give you the most gorgeous long lasting blooms possible! We also send you home with a care card for best results!
